The USA campaign "Orange Eagle” starts on August 1. With customer support oriented activities across the continent, as well as a targeted service campaign, Gebrüder Weiss is seeking to gain the title of "Best service provider for shipments to and from the United States.”
"After Asia, the American continent is now at the forefront of our commitment,” says Michael Büchele, Air & Sea Manager Marketing & Sales at Gebrüder Weiss. With the "Orange Dragon” campaign in 2007, the transport and logistics organisation reinforced its position as best service provider in China. The market activities in Europe and North America are now to be associated with this success, which will be part of the "Orange Eagle” umbrella campaign. Over the coming year, employees on both continents will be participating in specialised training courses to become more familiar with the various countries, their inhabitants and their cultural proclivities. "The high degree of flexibility and skills onsite is valued by our customers,” confirms Büchele, and goes on to say: "As a relatively small service provider, we can react more quickly and individually to customer requirements than global players.” Thus the same high service level would be available overseas as in the European domestic markets. Company-wide service standards The Gebrüder Weiss organisation
Ideal general conditions are provided by the new service standards that have been established as binding for USA shipments at the beginning of the campaign. Within four hours of asking, Gebrüder Weiss customers can count on receiving a quotation for a standard shipment. Consequently, they are kept fully informed about the status of their shipments. For example, sea freight data are provided to the customer within two hours and flight data even within one hour. And last but not least, innovative products are to provide a decisive contribution towards advancing Gebrüder Weiss along the path to becoming best USA service provider.
